For years, we have seen our justice system disproportionately target communities of color, low income residents, and residents that are displaced. We have to continue to come together to hold our government accountable and protect our communities from structural inequity such as racial profiling. Justyn believes in the implementation of:

  • A full five-point ordinance against racial profiling developed by the community
  • A citizen’s review board of law enforcement
  • Community policing and restorative justice principles that prioritize healing and restitution between a victim and offender over incarceration
  • Adequate funding for social services that advance public safety
